Introduction – Cristal Hurtado Gonzalez

At the beginning of July, Cristal started as the Assistant to the CAA for Arizona DECA. She has hit the ground running and is learning the ropes here at Arizona DECA and the ADE. We are so excited to have her. You will start getting emails from her pertaining information on upcoming events and initiatives here at Arizona DECA. Cristal’s introduction statement to you all is as follows:

 

Hello everyone, I am Cristal and I am thrilled to join AZ DECA as the new assistant to the Chartered Association Advisor, Lacy Beanland-Kirk. As a former AZ DECA state officer, I have firsthand experience of the incredible impact this organization can have on students' lives. My goal is to provide mentorship and create meaningful experiences that equip our members for success, regardless of the path they choose in the future. I also understand the vital role that advisors play in guiding and supporting students, and I am dedicated to providing as much assistance and support as I can for them. Together, we will foster a collaborative environment where both students and advisors can thrive and make a lasting impact. I'm excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to collaborating with the AZ DECA team, educators, and student leaders. If you have any questions or ideas, please reach out to me.

Chapter Visits

The Arizona DECA State Officer Team is preparing to come meet you are your students at your schools. The team has a goal to visit EVERY Active chapter here in Arizona DECA. We have a few of you that have already requested these visits, you should be receiving communication from the state officers this coming week.

​

In these visits they can visit the whole day of your classes, specific hours, chapter meetings or events. They are here to serve the members of Arizona DECA and look forward to visiting your school.
