Hello Arizona DECA,
My name is Angelina Luangphon and I am your 2016-2017 State President. I’m here to share with you a few things that you can look forward to throughout this upcoming year. The time we have spent together as your elected state team has been very valuable in allowing us to get to know one another and to understand the different types of leadership styles and personality traits that each officer has. From the very beginning it was easy to see that your 2016-2017 State Officer team has a very diverse set of talents. For example, your Vice President Juan, is very good at keeping the team in tip-top shape to make sure we are professionally aware of our surroundings, while Olivia adds to that by keeping us focused and on task at all times. Brandon and Joseph bring positive and innovative ideas giving us a new perspective while your State Representative Juan and State Secretary Ziah work together to keep those new ideas organized and well thought out. To tie our team all together, Mariah makes sure that through all the work, we remain upbeat and have fun in everything that we do to make sure we have a successful DECA year.
So far this year, we have gone through countless hours of leadership workshops, team bonding activities, and State Officer training so we can work together to make this year, a year for you to remember. We will be using the experiences and skill sets that we gain to make sure you get the most out of every conference and event planned for you.  Here are a few of our Program of Work highlights that you can look forward to throughout the upcoming year: DECAlympics and LEAD for Chapter Officers, trainings that will help ignite your team and your future; along with Fall Leadership Conferences that will motivate all your chapter members to strive to be the best version of themselves. Additionally, there will be a Chapter Presidents networking luncheon and a statewide community service project which will be sure to help you own your future. We hope that you are looking forward to this year as much as we are and we can’t wait to see all of you!

Welcome to Arizona DECA!
