Arizona DECA was established in 1961. A non-profit 501-C3 charted association, held by the Arizona Department of Education, that creates tomorrow's leaders in the high school classrooms of Arizona. Arizona DECA engages students in marketing area programs such as:
Throughout the past 57 years Arizona has been a charted association of DECA, tens of thousands of students have passed through the program, on their path becoming business leaders of the world. Giving the students the resources they need to succeed, an army of teachers and faculty dedicate their passion for education to engage students in their marketing program. Year after year, schools continuously grow their DECA chapter membership exponentially, exposing more young minds to the business world of today.
Because of DECA, high school students are able to become college and career ready at an early start. Nearly 88% of DECA members report that their personal DECA experience connected school to the real world and 95% of DECA members gained more skills in public speaking and problem solving. Many of our professional conferences attract nationally recognized businesses and educational institutes, including Men's Warehouse and ASU, W.P. Carey School of Business, that attend to recruit to DECA students, simply because they are a highly motivated group of young entrepreneurs looking to succeed in their futures.
DECA's mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
