DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
DECA Inc.,
founded in 1946, is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit corporation, headquartered in
Reston, Virginia.
The full name, Distributive Education Clubs of America, Incorporated, is the
legal identity of the adult group responsible for the student program. Its
members consist of those adults who have been named by the state/provincial
association, or the person designated by the state/provincial association, in
those states, territories or chartered units affiliated with the student
program. The primary purpose of DECA Incorporated is to serve as the sponsoring
agent for the student program known as the Distributive Education Clubs of
America.
The function of this corporation is to serve as the sponsoring agency of the
unincorporated youth organization bearing the name Distributive Education Clubs
of America, and to assist the organization in carrying out the following
purposes:

DECA Membership Scope
DECA Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
student organization with members in all 50 United States, the District of
Columbia, Canada, China, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, South Korea, Mexico and
Puerto Rico. The United States Congress, the United States Department of
Education and state and international departments of education authorize DECA’s
programs.
